Yes...I got hit by a car.

There I was walking out of the gym on Monday night feeling good due to my work out. I am walking through the parking lot minding my own business texting a friend when I suddenly look up as a car backs right into me. It hits my knees first and knocks me flat onto my back. I hit my tail bone and my elbow on the gound as I go down. The car continues backing out while I am under it and gets about half of my body under the car and then puts the car in drive and takes off. It was a hit and run... I was the victim of a hit and run. My life is so exciting. Well as the car takes off I am laying there shaking and these two guys that came out of the gym and witnessed it happen ran over to me. They try to get me to lay there, but I want to get up (partly because I am SO embarrassed). Anway, they help me to my car. I am laughing so hard because I am doing everything in my power to keep from crying.

I felt fine after, I think because of the adrenalin pumping through my body, and so I went to FHE and played dodge ball for a while. Then I went to the grocery store and as I was pushing the cart through the isles I started to realize how sore I actually was. I went home and took some pain killers and felt okay. Yesterday I woke up and felt really stiff. I went through my day like normal. Today I woke up and every muscle in my body hurts worse then I have felt. Yeah...I was hit by a car...a hit and run even...who else does this kind of thing happen to but me? Glad I live to tell about it!

I'm Getting Married! Wait...what?

So...one weekend night my friends came up with a brilliant plan! They thought, "Let's throw a FAKE bachelorette party!" They got to thinking who would have the guts to be the bride because they knew neither of them would ever dare do it...so the next best option was to con me into being the Future Mrs. Pope (Pope was chosen as the last name because it was short and would fit on an iron on patch easily). So, they tell me of their plan, and of course, I am all for it! We didn't just stop with the simple idea--we made it much bigger... We went and bought shirts, the three of them had pink-of course it is one of my wedding colors- and I wore a white shirt. On them we ironed on words such as "Here comes the bride" "Bridesmaid" "Maid of Honor" "Bride" and "The Future Mrs. Pope". After our shirts were completed, we decided to make it a little bigger and better- so we bought some beeded necklaces and made up a list of things people could do to earn a necklace. So...off we went to a club in Salt Lake City and had the best bachelorette party I have ever had! (Maybe my only but that is beside the point) Anyway, it was an amazing night with no regrets! Here are some pictures to illustrate our night of fun!

Of course we had to have a ring for me... you can't even tell it is fake!

A stunning pose showing off my diamond and my shirt.

My Bridesmaids and my trusy Maid of Honor...they are so great.

Aren't they great! Holli, Me, and Danielle.

It was so hot in there! But soooo worth it.

Can you even think of a more classy place to go after? Denny's all the way!

General Conferece

Me and Jamie were lucky and were able to get tickets to got to the Saturday afternoon session of General Conference.

It was raining and so the photo opportunities were few...but we did capture a few nice ones.

We loved looking at all the umbrellas.

After Conference we went to Guadalahonkys for dinner... could you seriously ask for anything better? We had a really creepy server...but he made the experience....Guadalhonkys....

Shooting the Tube

There is a canal that goes under I215 and one night my friends and hiked down to it and then up the tube and then road down it like a water slide. At the top of the canal we dammed with the boards and so the water level could rise. We sat in a huge line, wrapped our legs around the person in front of us, leaned back and lifted our butts up off the ground. The boards were pulled out and we flew down the canal faster then any water slide I have ever been on. The tube was pitch black so we could not see anything ahead of us. At the bottom of the canal we dropped off into frigid water that took our breath away. I have never been so cold in my life...but it was worth every second.

Megan and me after shooting the tube. Good thing I still have makeup on and my earrings in.

A group of us after we were finished.

Holli getting out of the coldest water I have ever felt.

Holli and Danielle...

This picture was taken inside the tube before we went down. I was so scared...

BOYS II MEN!!!

Me, Becca, Natalie, Megan, Holli and Liz (not pictured) went to the Boys II Men concert when they came to Orem. It may have been one of the most magical nights of my life...

There were so many people there. It was completely packed! It was so fun...we were just so far away.

Natalie, Holli and Megan looking so excited for the concert. This was their permanent face throughout the whole night.

Looking Gross at IKEA

Me, Danielle and Megan went to IKEA one Saturday afternoon after laying out by the pool for hours on end. We went in our swimming suits...I have never been in public looking that gross before...and will never again.

Even though we looked gross we took the opportunity to try out the beds...yeah...sick.

Good thing Danielle took her shoes off before getting on the bed.

It's official

So, I am a first time blogger...

I moved out into the real world and entered adulthood. In order to feel like an adult, I needed a blog to keep up with the fast moving and ever growing cyber space. So here I am...and happy about it!

I am living in Draper in a condo right behind some of my favorite stores...could I really ask for a better location? I moved here right at the beginning of August and plan to stay here for at least a year. I just graduated from Utah State University and am being forced into the professional world. I start school on Tuesday and I am scared out of my mind...what was I thinking??? Is teaching high school really what I chose to do for my career? I wonder every day if it is too late to change my major.
